Let’s roll into 2013 with some burning fire - our strong bonding and our commitment to see that everyone will be reached this year.
Some of you might be wondering why Lebu' Kulit Today was rather quiet for the whole of last year. Well, let’s just say that it has gone into hibernation - sort of going into 'bertapa' in the ‘ulu’ experiencing some tough life journey, seeking for ideas and new aspiration...
This year arrives with new hopes and new meaning, especially for the younger generations to get them positioned in the community, either among the Lebu' Kulits or wherever.
The challenges ahead I believe are always on creating something good for humanity. It requires sacrifices and personal beliefs that each and everyone have something to offer in life. While we all have different talents, we do possess the same potential, to contribute to the community.
The first assignment that was handed over to us is 2013 year-end Christmas Celebration. This should not be a big problem to us all, except that everyone must show their willingness to participate in the plans that will be revealed from time to time.
The year 2012 has gone, but I remembered it as a shocking year. It is when I noted the visions of 'projek pulang alut' goes very close to what I have said in this site more than 2 years ago! Some of you may wonder what it is all about. It is about the reconstruction of Long Jawe - our lepuun, into a new modern village. This in fact is a greater challenge for the lebu' kulit and a big agenda that definitely will need to be addressed!
I can see 4 - 5 years from now; there will be many of us thinking seriously about making trips to Long Jawe - to recreate their residence there.
Being the administrator for Lebu’ Kulit Today, I can only say that there is always a vacuum in the soul of every lebu’ kulit to find their ways back to their roots and origin – either to Long Jawe or even somewhere in the highlands – of the Apaus ...
May the good Lord leads us safely home.
Selamat uman maring.
